Prep Football Playoffs | Granite Falls knocked out
BURLINGTON - Kolby Ardense passed for three touchdowns and ran for one as fifth-ranked Burlington-Edison rolled past Granite Falls 35-7 Friday night in a Class 2A preliminary-round playoff game.
Two first-half turnovers by Granite Falls (5-5) led to 14 points for B-E (9-1).
Ardense completed 9 of 12 passes for 112 yards, with scoring strikes of 11, 14 and 16 yards.
Jullian Gamache carried 23 times for 84 yards and Granite Falls’ only TD.

At Lynden 41, South Whidbey 0
Eighth-ranked Lynden (8-2) advanced to the first round by shutting out the unranked Falcons (7-3). South Whidbey finished with three consecutive losses.
Blaine 46, at Cedarcrest 33
The Borderites (7-3) cracked the usually stingy Cedarcrest defense to earn their first trip to the state playoffs in nine years. The loss snapped a six-game win streak by the No. 9 Red Wolves (8-2) of Duvall.

Darrington 52, Seattle Lutheran 17
At West Seattle Stadium, Mike Parris ran for three touchdowns and returned a kickoff 80 yards for another as the No. 3 Loggers rolled into the round of 16. Darrington (10-0), which amassed 474 rushing yards, will play Toutle Lake (8-2) in the first round next week. Lucas Bigliardi ran for a TD and passed for one for the Saints (7-3) from West Seattle.
